The Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, with the vision of "To cure all human diseases with innovative medicine", and the core values of "ethics, mission, responsibility, perseverance, and diligence", isdedicated to the mission of "Through exceptional pharmaceutical education, research, and industralization, we strive to create innovative drugs to eradicate all diseases". Facing significant societal needs and focusing on innovative drugs and cutting-edge biotechnology, theFaculty aims to build a world-classfaculty of pharmaceutical sciences, cultivatea batch of top talents with innovative and entrepreneurial compound capabilities, develop original new drugs capable of curing various diseases in 5-10 years, through innovative research, teaching, and transformation in the pharmaceutical field, as well as internationalized educational strategies. 药物化学与制药工程学系:药物化学与制药工程学学科是药学学科的基础支撑学科之一,主要研究药物的性状、结构、作用、分析、鉴定、生产等。学科将聚焦创新药物设计、合成和检测,新型纳米药物、天然产物药物、高端制剂等方向。重点将其打造成为国家级重点学科,为药学学科提供有力支撑。
Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Engineering:Medicinal Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Engineering is one of the fundamental disciplines supporting the pharmaceutical sciences. It primarily studies the properties, structure, action, analysis, identification, and production of drugs. The discipline will concentrate on innovative drug design, synthesis, and testing, as well as novel nanomedicines, natural product drugs, high-end formulations and other directions. It will be emphatically developed into a nationally key discipline,offering strong support for the pharmaceutical sciences.
生物制药学系:生物制药是药学学科群中基于细胞分子生物学的前沿交叉学科。学科致力于提出原创性基础理论,瞄准创新药学的研发及成药性评价,用细胞与分子工程技术改造生物大分子或细胞,从而制备出新的治疗或预防疾病的生物制品,建设成为世界一流学科。
Department of Biopharmaceutical Sciences:Biopharmaceuticals is an interdisciplinary frontier subject within the pharmaceutical sciences, based on cellular and molecular biology. The discipline isdevoted to proposing original basic theories, targeting the research and development of innovative pharmacy and druggability evaluation, andmodifying biomolecules or cells with cell and molecular engineering techniques, thereby preparing new bioproducts for the treatment or prevention of diseases,so as to become a world-class discipline.
药理学系:药理学是研究药物与机体间相互作用规律及其药物作用机制的一门科学,主要包括药效动力学和药代动力学两个分支。前者是阐明药物对机体的作用和作用原理,后者阐明药物在体内吸收、分布、生物转化和排泄等过程,及药物效应和血药浓度随时间消长的规律。学科重点布局生物医药大数据与人工智能,开展计算机辅助药物设计、基于人工智能深度学习的药物筛选,基于大数据分析的药物不良反应信息挖掘与重大药源性疾病预警靶点研究、构建药物安全预警模型,提升我国用药安全预警能力;构建个体化疾病诊治的数据集成、肿瘤等重大疾病药物治疗的精准预测,建设粤港澳大湾区精准用药平台。构建药品上市后再评价体系,建立粤港澳大湾区药品评价中心,建设成为世界一流的药理学科。
Department of Pharmacology:Pharmacology is a science that studies the interaction between drugs and the body and the mechanisms of drug action. It chiefly consists of two branches: pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics. The former elucidates the effects of drugs on the body and their mechanisms of action, while the latter clarifies the processes of drug absorption, distribution, biotransformation, and excretion in the body, as well as the laws of drug effects and plasma drug concentration over time. The disciplineemphatically lays out biomedical big data and artificial intelligence, conducts computer-aided drug design, AI deep learning-based drug screening, drug adverse reaction information mining and major drug-induced disease warning target research based on big data analysis, constructs drug safety warning models, and enhances national drug safety warning capabilities; it builds an integrated data platform for personalized disease diagnosis and treatment, precise prediction of drug treatment for major diseases such as cancer, and establishes a precision medication platform for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. It also aims to construct a post-marketing drug re-evaluation system, establish a drug evaluation center for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and become a world-class pharmacology discipline.
医药材料学与转化医学系:医药材料学与转化医学具有典型交叉融合特性,综合药学、生物学、材料学和医学,探索人类衰老、组织再生与功能重建的综合学科。转化医学是医药科学一个新兴的前沿学科,是研究基础理论知识转化成用于人体的医药产品的交叉学科。学科聚焦工程化活细胞/细菌仿生策略及其感知/操控的微纳生物机器人等领域的应用;能量代谢变化在慢性疾病中的预防及诊疗;人工抗原呈递AIE仿生纳米聚集体对免疫系统的影响以及开发药械组合产品,致力于建设成为世界一流的医药材料与转化医学学科。
Department of Pharmaceutical Materials Science and Translational Medicine:The Department of Pharmaceutical Materials Science and Translational Medicine is characterized by its typical interdisciplinary integration, exploring the comprehensive discipline of human aging, tissue regeneration, and functional reconstruction in combination with pharmacy, biology, materials science, and medicine.Translational medicine is an emerging frontier discipline in the pharmaceutical sciences, focusing on the transformation of basic theoretical knowledge into medical products for human use. The discipline concentrates on the application of engineering strategies for living cells/bacteria biomimicry and micro-nano biological robots for sensing/manipulation; the prevention, treatment and diagnosis of chronic diseases through the study of energy metabolism changes; the impact of artificial antigen-presenting AIE biomimetic nano-aggregates on the immune system, and the development of drug-device combination products. It isdedicated to becoming a world-class discipline in pharmaceutical materials andtranslational medicine.
